As we get closer to the event, things can get very busy.  At the moment, I have to say that I haven’t quite reached that point with Scotland’s National Airshow.  The Royal International Air Tattoo is a slightly different matter, as at the moment I have the slight conundrum of managing the arrival of more than 200+ aircraft in just two days, as well as finding room for upwards of 20 rehearsals.

Thankfully, Scotland’s National Airshow is easy to plan. My main challenge this year is the co-ordination between us and Sunderland, as the two displays are sharing quite a few aircraft but t’s nothing that can’t be sorted with a little thought and co-operation.

My next diary item for the Airshow is the Emergency Services Table Top Exercise.  This happens each year at about this time and offers the chance to review our response plans to any and all unexpected events, ranging from an aircraft incident to a traffic jam on the A1.

We have an exciting, varied and dynamic display planned, with something for everyone. Here’s full 2015 air display line-up (in no particular order):

I think that’s it for now – planning continues, the line-up is just about set, my team is ready and waiting to go.  I’ll try and get one more blog post out before the show, but if I don’t manage it, see you at East Fortune: it’ll be a blast!
