Museum Week is back! From Monday 23 to Sunday 29 March, Twitter will be taken over by Museum Week: an annual event where museums all over the world will have a chance to celebrate seven daily museum themes on Twitter.
The digital team here at National Museums Scotland are raring to go, and all this week we’ll be giving you a sneak peek at life in a museum on our Twitter feed @NtlMuseumsScot.
On Monday, look out for #secretsMW. We’ll be ready to welcome you into our world and introduce you to work behind the scenes… and perhaps a few well-kept secrets!
Tuesday, follow #souvenirsMW. It’s a chance for you to share your souvenirs and memories of visits: photos, mugs, books, postcards, encounters and special moments. Our Museum Shop team will be on hand too.
It’s #architectureMW on Wednesday. Discover National Museums Scotland through the history, the beauty and the originality of its construction.
Be inspired on Thursday and watch out for #inspirationMW. Our Museums Galleries Scotland trainee Sueve will be taking to Twitter, encouraging you to grab, record and create culture around you with your camera. Art, science, history – it’s everywhere!
One for families on Friday with #familyMW. With the weekend almost here, our Learning and Progammes team will help you prepare for family visits or upcoming school trips with lots of advice and tips.
Saturday, keep an eye on #favMW. You can share your favourite objects and collections from the Museum, and we’ll be sharing some of our favourites with you.
And keeping the best until last, on Sunday strike a pose with #poseMW. The last day of #MuseumWeek 2015 is all about creativity. Poses, memes or selfies… it’s up to you!
